Blissful Body Yoga was born from Dee’s deep belief in yoga, body positivity, and radical self-love.

A devoted practitioner since 2013, Dee sees yoga as more than movement — it is a way to shift perspective and return to compassion. As she says, “When I feel this plane of existence is just ass-backward, I go upside down to recalibrate my perspective.” Yoga became her tool for grounding, healing, and remembering that gentleness is strength.

Her philosophy is simple: whatever you are going through physically, mentally, spiritually, or emotionally — be gentle with yourself. “Don’t be so hard on yourself. The world will do that for you.”

Blissful Body Yoga is dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces across Baltimore City and the DMV where individuals can breathe, meditate, move, and reconnect with themselves. We celebrate perfectly imperfect bodies and welcome all backgrounds, experiences, and income levels. Accessibility and community are at the heart of everything we do.

Rooted in love for Baltimore and the greater DMV, this is a grassroots movement committed to service. Through classes, festivals, Thai massage, meditation, and community gatherings, we cultivate positive self-image, awareness, and mindfulness — empowering each person to grow both individually and collectively.

Blissful Yoga is a community-rooted wellness practice founded by Dee — an activist, E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, meditation guide, and continuing education provider dedicated to transformative healing.

Established from Dee’s own spiritual awakening in 2013, Blissful Yoga was created as a space where movement meets meaning. What began as a personal journey toward release and renewal has evolved into a powerful community offering designed to help individuals reconnect with themselves, process life’s challenges, and cultivate compassion from the inside out.

  • Accessible, alignment-based classes that support strength, flexibility, nervous system regulation, and emotional resilience. Dee teaches with the belief that yoga is not just a workout — it is a daily practice of self-awareness and self-trust.

  • With over 100 hours of specialized pranayama training, Dee integrates conscious breathing techniques to help students regulate stress, release stored tension, and deepen their mind-body connection.

  • Drawing from over a decade of personal meditation practice, Dee offers guided meditation experiences for individuals, groups, and organizations seeking clarity, grounding, and presence.

  • As a committed activist, Dee partners with local organizations and community leaders to bring yoga and mindfulness into spaces that traditionally lack access to wellness resources. Workshops often focus on healing justice, emotional processing, empowerment, and collective care.

  • As a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, Dee mentors yoga teachers through advanced study, breathwork training, philosophy integration, and embodied leadership development. Her approach emphasizes authenticity, integrity, and lifelong learning.
